The study was conducted in sector 55(neighbourhood park) and 56( neighbourhood market) Gurugram in October,2018.

The aim of the study was to analyse the effect of everyday spaces on mental wellbeing. Spaces under consideration were neighbourhood markets which are under frequent use by residents around and Neighbourhood Park as an everyday space. The research concluded by specifying that neighbourhood markets are stress relieving spaces for many working adults. Activities such as shopping, eating spaces (informal and formal) and sitting spaces have made them lively and vibrant. Urban design aspects such as proximity and accessibilityplay a huge role in usage of these public spaces. In case of Neighbourhood Park, the segregation of the activities for different age groups made it possible for all ages to relieve their daily stresses. Also it served people who wanted to have some isolation but still want to stay in the park. It took care of the natural drainage system keeping intact the slope by incorporating it in the design making it interesting for people who visit.
